Surgical Instruments
From tibial jigs for knee joint replacement to a Medical Excellence Award-winning system for cardiovascular surgery, our work includes high-volume disposables, reusable instruments and implant systems for surgical use.
We have designed products that help to improve safety and reduce the time required for common surgical procedures, we have applied emerging technologies to niche surgical areas and have helped to develop innovative products for operating theatres of the future.
Each project is led by one of our dedicated team of medical device experts, who provide the knowledge and strong project management skills that are essential to success. We follow a rigorous development approach, with an emphasis on evidence and identifying and managing risk throughout the process, ultimately aiming to enhance efficiency and safety, decrease recovery times and improve the overall patient experience and throughput.
Anaesthesia and Respiratory
Our work in this area includes anaesthetic gas detection meters, regulators and filters of many kinds, as well as a range of highly successful respiratory measurement equipment.
Two significant examples of our design and development work in respiratory measurement are a leading printer-spirometer and a state-of-the-art, handheld device for airway resistance measurement for paediatric and elderly patients not able to co-operate with normal respiratory tests.
