Peter Kay delivers lecture at Central St. Martins
Peter Kay, our Strategic Manager who leads FMCG at DCA, was recently invited to deliver a lecture entitled “Design Transforms” to PCID students at the University of the Arts – Central St. Martins, London.
The aim of the lecture series, ‘design as a transformational capacity’, is to help students understand the range of practices and impacts that can emerge from a designer’s approach. How this impacts businesses, people, places, and objects, but also influences and changes the practitioners themselves.
Peter’s lecture was a very personal reflection - touching on some of the many people, places and projects that have influenced and transformed his own development over the past 40 years’ as a design consultant working in 3D branding and structural packaging.
Delivered to an attentive audience of Master’s and Bachelor’s students primarily drawn from the disciplines of product and industrial design, furniture, jewellery, and ceramics, the lecture was delivered in-person, and simultaneously broadcast to selected students on-line.
