DCA's Grace Kane and Alex Peacop to talk at the DMI's Design Leadership Conference 2024

Design for resilience: How designers can help organisations respond to a volatile world.

On September 25th Grace Kane and Alex Peacop will be talking about ‘Design for Resilience’ at the Design Management Institute’s (DMI) Design leadership Conference in Boston, USA.

Today’s organisations must respond to significant and often unpredictable changes. In the face of this, it can be tempting to cut back and focus on core functions, neglecting design and innovation. But the processes and mindsets involved in design can be an organisation’s secret weapon to build resilience. In this talk, Grace Kane and Alex Peacop will discuss how methods learned from design can be repurposed to help organisations respond faster and better to threats, build resilience into their product pipelines and future-proof their teams to enable them to better respond to an unpredictable future.

The Design Management Institute (DMI) is the premier global (non-profit) organization that connects, promotes, and elevates the role of Design, Design Management and Design Innovation in business, culture and society. Founded in 1975, DMI “brings together innovators, educators, researchers, and leaders from every design discipline, every industry, and every corner of the planet to facilitate transformational organizational change and design driven innovation.”
