DCA awarded best paper at ergonomics and human factors conference
DCA received the award for best paper at this year’s Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) annual conference. The paper titled ‘Using the decision ladder to reach a better design’ discusses a new approach for developing user interfaces based on interviews with subject matter experts.
The paper was written by Dan Jenkins (Senior skill leader), Malcolm Boyd (Medical sector manager) and Chris Langley (Senior medical sector manager) and presented by Dan as part of special session dedicated to Design. An historic case study of the Therac-25 radiotherapy machine was used to illustrate the utility of the approach.
