Graduate Electronics Engineer
As a result of sustained high customer demand for DCA's electronic design offering, we are continuing to grow the team and we are seeking outstanding graduate electronic engineers to join us.
If you have great technical skills, a can-do attitude and an aptitude for product design, we can give you an accelerated start to your career. We work in lean project teams at DCA on projects in a diverse range of applications, from safety-critical medical devices to industrial equipment. You'll be collaborating with not just electronics and software engineers but colleagues from all DCA's technical disciplines, working on fast-paced projects solving difficult problems for our clients. It's an environment where you'll quickly gain a wide range of professional experience.
What we expect
- A great creative problem-solver, able to generate innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
- You to be able to combine academic excellence with natural engineering intuition and a genuine interest in product development.
- An ability to assimilate new information and learn new skills very quickly in a dynamic, consultancy environment.
- You to take responsibility for your technical design work, although more experienced engineers will be happy to collaborate and support you, informally and through our formal design checking procedures.
What you need
- A first or upper second class degree in electronic engineering from a university with a strong engineering reputation, or an equivalent broad-based technical qualification. We welcome applications from candidates in their last academic year of study towards such a qualification.
- An enthusiastic, collaborative and can-do attitude, comfortable with taking on new challenges.
- Experience of hands-on electronic design, prototyping and debugging at board level. Relevant work experience in an industrial setting would be beneficial.
- Good communication skills, writing clearly and presenting engagingly in English. All of our engineers are customer-facing.
- We will expect you to be able to work in our Warwick studios and you must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK.
Benefits
- We offer competitive salaries, with paid overtime.
- 22 days holiday, with extra days accumulated for long service up to a maximum of 32 days.
- A 37 hour working week with a half day on Fridays, which is great for work-life balance.
- A substantial annual discretionary profit-related bonus.
- Two additional fixed holiday bonuses paid in July and December, totalling 3% of base pay.
- A contributory pension scheme.
- Our Warwick campus with its town centre location is convenient for shops or grabbing a coffee.
